27 Years of Service at Muffler Man of Grand Blanc
Over thirty years ago, Randy and Mary Bedford met Jim and Jeannie Christensen, founders of the Muffler Man enterprise. At the time, Mary was a paralegal and Randy was designing and building homes, along with owning and working a thriving drywall business. A series of recessions hit the country and the construction industry in Florida hit a slump. The Christensens invited Randy and Mary to Michigan for a visit. At the time they were very active in water skiing and they brought their skis and had a great time at Crystal Lake. During this time they visited several of the Muffler Man locations and were offered the opportunity to move to Michigan and purchase a shop. Randy joined a contsruction crew for six months, learning to install in-ground hoists, construct racks for inventory, install compressors, garage doors and basically learn what setting up a business would involve. Randy and Mary decided to take the plunge and move their family to Michigan for the opening of their own shop, which would be in Grand Blanc. This location was the original warehouse for Muffler Man and the front shop space was a training center. The rest is history…
The staff at Muffler Man of Grand Blanc has been steadfast in their effort to continuously improve. Alan Carper - Manager has been employed with the Bedford family for over twenty years and have been a huge part of the success of the business. They have a loyal customer following and without him and the team that works with him, that success would not be possible!
Muffler Man of Grand Blanc is continuously updating equipment and technology required in this automotive industry today. By doing this they can continue to provide their customers with accurate, quick and affordable vehicle repairs.
